Wards of minorites from Pak, B'desh to get admisssion in

Children of persecuted minority migrants from Pakistan and Bangladesh living in India will be allowed admission in medical and dental colleges, with External Affairs Ministry (MEA) making the provision under a scheme for foreign students.
From the academic year 2017-18, they will also be able to get admission in courses such as Bachelor of Engineering, B Pharma, Diploma in Engineering and Pharmacy.
"In line with the External Affairs Minister's commitment to ensure that children of persecuted religioius minority migrants from Bangladesh and Pakistan, who are residing in India, are not denied opportunities in higher education, admission would now be possible from 2017-18 to MBBS, BDS, B Pharma, Engineering," the MEA said.
Admission to the students will be facilitated under seats alloted by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Ministry of Human Resource Development.
In a statement, the MEA said that it was running a Self-Financing Scheme for foreign nationals from developing countries for admission in MBBS, BDS, BE, B Pharmacy, Diploma in Engineering, Diploma in Pharmacy in institutions in India against seats allotted by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Ministry of HRD.
