Warm days in North

Warm and humid days continued in North India today as southwest monsoon retreated from most parts of the region leading to above normal temperatures.
The southwest monsoon further withdrew from remaining parts of east Uttar Pradesh, most parts of Bihar and Madhya Pradesh.
In Delhi, the minimum temperature was recorded at 24.5 degree Celsius, three notches above normal, while the maximum was 37.2 degree, three notches above normal.
An official of Meteorological department said that humidity level was recorded at 77 per cent till 8.30 am this morning.
Rajasthan also witnessed hot weather with Bikaner recording maximum temperature at 39.5 degree.

Western districts of Jodhpur, Barmer, Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Churu were still in the grip of sizzling temperature ranging between 39 and 39.5 degree C.

Jaipur recorded 37.2 degree C temperature.
Warm and humid weather conditions also prevailed in most parts of Punjab and Haryana with Hisar recording its maximum at 37.2 deg C,
Ambala, Bhiwani and Narnaul recorded maximum at 33 deg C, 36.8 deg C and 35.2 deg C respectively.
In Punjab, Amritsar settled at 34.4 deg C while Ludhiana and Patiala had high of 34.3 deg C and 34 deg C.
Chandigarh recorded its maximum at 33.6 deg C, up by a degree above normal.
