Warm weather in North India

North India today experienced a relatively warm weather in the absence of rains as maximum temperature in the region soared past 35 degree mark at many places while humidity remained at an uncomfortable level.
Delhi witnessed another warm and humid day as the maximum temperature was recorded at 36.4 degree which was two notches above normal and the minimum temperature also remained two degree above normal at 24.9 degree.
The humidity levels oscillate between 38 and 81 per cent during the day, according to Meteorological department.
According to the weatherman, it is going to be a partly cloudy sky during the day tomorrow with the maximum and minimum temperature expected to remain around 36 and 25 degree Celsius.
In Uttar Pradesh, light rain occurred at isolated places in the last 24 hours.
The Met has also forecast rain or thundershowers at isolated places over the state tomorrow.

In Punjab and Haryana, maximum temperatures hovered a few notches above the normal level as Hisar was the hottest place with maximum at 37.7 deg C, up by two notches above normal.
Bhiwani registered maximum at 37.4 deg C while Ambala and Karnal had high of 33.7 deg C and 33.8 deg C respectively.
Chandigarh had a high of 34.7 deg C, up by two degrees above normal.
Amritsar and Ludhiana recorded maximums at 34.2 deg C and 34 deg C, while Patiala settled at 34.5 deg C, up by two degrees above normal.
The mercury in north-west part of Rajasthan soared further as Churu was the hottest with 37.8 degree.
In north, Jaipur recorded a maximum temperature of 37.3 degree C, about 3 degree more than the normal.
People in western districts--- Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Barmer, Churu and Bikaner-- experienced hot weather conditions as mercury ranged between 36 and 37.8 degree C at many places.
Rajasthan may have to wait for winter season for at least a fortnight as no new upper air cyclonic system approached the state, a Met official said.
