Warmer days in lower hills of Himachal

Mercury rose by few notches across Himachal Pradesh and minimum temperatures stayed five to eight degree above normal while maximum day temperatures rose to 31.0 degrees Celsius at Una in Shivalik foothills.
The high altitude tribal areas saw another spell of fresh snowfall and Keylong and Udaipurin tribal Lahaul and Spiti districts recorded 5 cm and 7 cm of show while Rohtang Pass and otherhigh altitude areas had 10 cm to 15 cm of snow.
The weather remained dry in the region but sky remained partially overcast and local MeT office has warned of heavy rains or snow at isolated places in mid and higher hills tomorrow.
The MeT office also predicted rains or snow at isolated places for four days from tomorrow in mid and lower hills and rains and thundershowers in lower hills from February 19 to 21.
The minimum temperatures rose by few notches and Keylong and Kalpa in Lahaul and Spiti recorded minimum temperature at 0.8 degree and 3.0 degrees, 10 degrees and eight degrees above normal, aggravating the avalanche threat.
Mercury rose by three degree to stand at 6.0 degrees at tourist resort of Manali.
