Water from three reservoirs to be released from tomorrow

Tamil Nadu government has ordered release of water from Bhavanisagar, Krishnagiri and Parur reservoirs from tomorrow for irrigation in Erode and Krishnagiri districts.
The government's decision comes in the wake of requests from farmers in the respective areas, Chief Minister O Panneerselvam said in a statement today.
While water from Bhavanisagar would benefit over 15,743 acre of land in Erode district, Krishnagiri and Parur would benefit 9,012 acre and 2,396 acre of lands in Krishnagiri district, he said.
