WB Assembly extended budget session from August 26

Six bills would be tabled in the three day extended budget session of the West Bengal Assembly beginning on August 26.
Stating that a new bill 'The West Bengal Right to Public Services Bill, 2013' would be placed in the House for discussion and passing, Speaker Biman Banerjee said that five other bills would be placed during the session for amendment.
The bills which would be placed for amendment included: The New Town Kolkata Development Authority (Amendment) Bill - 2013, The Hooghly River Bridge (Amendment) Bill - 2013, The West Bengal Correctional Services (Amendment) Bill - 2013, The City Civil Court (Amendment) Bill - 2013 and The Bengal Amusements Tax (Amendment) Bill - 2013, the speaker said.
Meanwhile, during the day the Speaker adjourned the hearing on claim by the Congress as the main opposition party.
The present Leader of the Opposition Surjya Kanta Mishra sought time from the Speaker.
CLP leader Md Sohrab requested the Speaker for a separate hearing, saying he would not like to appear for the hearing in the presence of the CPI(M).
The speaker, however, did not announce any date for the hearing.
