"After we requested the Central health minister Harshvardhan to look into what could be done to help the state to tackle the problem, the Union Health ministry had offered to help the state government by providing specialised medical team, expertise, medicines and other technical help," Sinha told reporters.
"But the state government denied to take such a help. By the term central help, this Trinamool Congress government means only money. Had the Centre given financial aid to tackle this problem they would have accepted it. But as this is a technical help, they denied accepting any such help," he said.
"We want the state government to give Rupees 10 lakh to those who have died and Rupees two lakh to those who are still suffering plus free and best treatment," Sinha said.
