West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today said the state government has taken certain measures to wipe out issues of pertaining to availability of Khadya Sathe cards.
She said government would ensure Khadya Sathe programme to all eligible people and would not tolerate any politics surrounding this.
"Distribution of digitised cards is 82 per cent. People who did not received digitised cards, will get them if they bring any proof of submission for the digitised cards. Even Antardoya, BPL card holders who are unable to apply, can also take benefit of the scheme," Banerjee said at the state secretariat Nabanna after a high level meeting.
"We are committed to serve people irrespective of political colour. There will be few teething problems. We know harassment to people in some locations are handiwork of CPI(M) backed dealers," she said.
Banerjee said if the government can offer food security to 7.5 crore people then it can offer it to another 50 lakh.
She said validity of lifting food was for two months, so anyone missing in a month can avail of the quota in the next month.
