West Bengal Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi Monday expressed his "deep grief" over the killing of Krishnaganj Trinamool Congress MLA Satyajit Biswas inside a Sarswati Puja marquee.
Tripathi conveyed condolences to the bereaved family, Biswas' friends and supporters, a statement released from the Raj Bhawan, here said.
Biswas was killed on Saturday at Phoolbari area, about 15 km from the Bangladesh border.
BJP leader Mukul Roy and four others have been named in the FIR in connection with the killing of the TMC MLA.
Two persons have been arrested in connection with the killing while the revolver that was allegdly used in the murder was sent for forensic tests.
While the TMC has held the BJP responsible for the murder of their MLA, the saffron party has blamed the internal feud in TMC for it.
