With WBPCC chief Adhir Chowdhury saying that the Supreme Court verdict of CBI inquiry into Saradha chit fund scam was a "personal and political defeat for Mamata Banerjee", the Trinamool Congress chief today retorted that he was behaving as if was PM.
"Junior ministers of the Railways these days behave as if they are the PM," she said apparently referring to Chowdhury, the Union Minister of State for Railways.
"There should be a lakshman rekha in public discourse. The Opposition has crossed all limits," she said.
Referring to her tenure as Railway minister, she claimed that she gave one lakh jobs, including 10,000 in West Bengal.
"All work has stopped in the Railways .. There is no money," she said, claiming that Chowdhury was 'talking big'.
"Muscle and money power cannot win votes. People will vote freely here," referring to Chowdhury who is seeking re-election from the Berhampore Lok Sabha seat for the fourth consecutive time in the Congress-stronghold.
"Berhampore has always been electing Congress candidates. Has there been any development? ... Berhampore is not the zamindari of some individuals," she said.
