The Uttar Banga Lok O Adivasi Sanskriti Utsav, scheduled from December 23-24, will be organised by Lok Sanskriti O Adivasi Sanskriti Kendra in association with the Information and Culture Department of the West Bengal government.

CPI-M's Cooch Behar Zilla Sabadhipati Dilip Biswas said no elected district representative of the Left Front had featured anywhere in the invitee list published by the festival organisers.
Cooch Behar MP Nripen Roy (Forward Bloc), regretting the episode, said no Congress leader was invited either. The invitation card bears the names of ruling Trinamool Congress MLAs only, the LF leaders alleged.
Barman, however, denied the allegation saying all were invited, but it is not possible to print all the names in the card.
