Defeats to star shuttlers P Kashyap and Hu Yun in men's singles competition saw BOP Banga Beats narrowly lose their opening tie but coach Vimal Kumar today exuded confidence his wards would come good against Awadhe Warriors tomorrow.
Kumar said his team was tired because of the travelling but they are rejuvenated now and are gearing up for their clash against the local team.
"We have learnt from our mistakes that we made in our last game and of course continuous traveling also played a major role in game against Mumbai Masters. But now our team got enough time to rest and practice and we are confident that team will give its best against Awadhe Warriors," Kumar said.
On Kashyap and Hu Yun, Kumar said: "Both of them are world class players and among top 15 ranked. They were tired as they didn't had any time for rest and which took a toll in their respective matches and when a player is tired he ought to make a mistake. As both of them are now mentally and physically recovered and will make us proud."
Kumar was also confident that in Tai Tzu Ying of Chinese Taipei, he has the right candidate to tame P V Sindhu.
"She is young but a talented player which was visible in her last match when she holded her nerves and defeated her counterpart Tine Baun. She is in excellent form and looking confident for her next match," he said.
It was their men's double pair which had brought Banga Beats back in the contest in the last game and coach Kumar said they are in good form and ready to take on the might of Markis Kido and Mathias Boe tomorrow.
"Carsten Mogensen and Akshay Dewalkar are in excellent form and it didn't seem like they are playing for the first time together. They are practicing hard and well prepared to face Markis Kido and Mathias Boe which is considered to be one of the strongest men's double team in the league," he said.
