Ace golfer Anjali Chopra today emphasised on the need to reach out to young talents to make golf popular in India.
"We need to reach out to young people then only we can make golf more popular and bring up new talents," said Chopra on the sidelines of the final day of Usha Junior Training Program (JTP) organised by the Delhi Golf Club.
"We are already a bit successful in a sense like now not only we are seeing kids who are in the two-three year age group coming to learn the game but also people at the age of 50 are starting to take up golf lessons," she added.
Usha JTP is an annual training camp for young talents between the age group of eight to 16 years held over a month where Chopra has been training young golfers for the past eight years.
"From Shiv Kapur to whoever is successful on the field today has been a part of the JTP. More camps like this should be organised to bring up these talents," she added.
