The actress, 40, said that while she does not believe in openly discussing salaries, she is all for equal pay, reported E! News.
"When you're talking about specifics of pay that is a line of questioning I really had a hard time with," she said at the Palm Springs International Film Festival.
"So my remarks were in response to that but only that. Of course we should be paid the same as the boys. We want to stand alongside them."
Jennifer Lawrence had slammed Hollywood's gender pay gap in an essay in Lena Dunham's Lenny newsletter in October. It was revealed that Lawrence was paid less than her male co-stars in "American Hustle" after Sony's emails were hacked.
