'We stand with you': Rahul to familes of jawans killed in Manipur

"We stand with each of them in this hour of tragedy," Rahul Gandhi said today offering condolences to the families of 20 Army jawans killed in an ambush by insurgents in Manipur.

"Extremely sad to hear about the attack on the Army convoy in Manipur where several of our young Jawans lost their lives."

"My deepest condolences to the families of the martyrs, we stand with each of them in this hour of tragedy", the Congress Vice President said on micro blogging site Twitter.

Using rocket-propelled grenades(RPG) and automatic weapons, insurgents ambushed a military convoy in Manipur killing at least 20 personnel in the worst such attack in recent years.

Eleven armymen were injured in the ambush.
