"We have worked on different strategies for each team in the tournament and I believe that following the same will help us win matches," Saeed said after his team's practice match against Malaysia today.
"The team showcased good rhythm and teamwork during practice. The understanding and bonding amongst the players and their fitness levels will prove to be an advantage for us when we take on opponents. The players are very enthusiastic and I see no single disadvantage in this team," he said.
Captain Umar Butta said his team was ready for the big challenge.
"World Cup is the biggest challenge for any team and we as a team are ready for it. Players are getting in scheme of things in terms of environment, weather and practice session. We have always believed in experimenting during practice which helps come out with newer ways of playing and unique strategies, which helps in taking the opponents by surprise," he said.
Pakistan won the 1979 edition of the event and finished runners-up in 1993.
