Weak demand hurt by refined soya oil futures by 0.20%

Refined soya oil prices weakened by 0.20 per cent to Rs 665.75 per 10 kg in futures market today as traders cut their bets, driven by muted demand in the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange,refined soya oil for delivery in far-month May contracts traded lower by Rs 1.35, or 0.20 per cent to Rs 665.75 per 10 kg with an open interest of 85,150 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in April contracts shed 70 paise or 0.11 per cent to Rs 655.85 per 10 kg in 9730 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by participants amid easing demand in the spot market against sufficient stocks mainly attributed the decline in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
