Weapons supplier arrested from Punjab

Police today arrested a man who was accused of supplying weapons to Kashmira Singh who had allegedly shot at and injured a Punjab Shiv Sena leader here.
Shiv Sena leader Harvinder Soni, who was on a morning walk at Fish Park here along with his security personnel, was allegedly shot at by the assailant yesterday, police had said.
Anurag alias Lala, a resident of Kalaspur under police station Bania Ner in Muradabad had sold 315 bore pistol and some cartridges illegally to Kashmira Singh in March, which he used for committing the crime, said SSP Gurpreet Singh Toor.
He said that Anurag was arrested by the Uttar Pradesh police following information provided by the accused after his arrest.
UP police would hand him over to Punjab police after presenting him in the Muradabad Court, he added.
