Weather likely to remain dry in UP until Feb 6

Dense to very dense fog occurred at a few places in Uttar Pradesh, but the weather largely remained dry across the state, a Met department official said today.
The minimum temperature last night remained above the normal in Jhansi, Agra, Gorakhpur, Varanasi and Allahabad. Muzaffarnagar recorded the lowest minimum temperature in the state at 6.2 degrees Celsius, the official said.
The maximum temperature also remained above the normal yesterday in Allahabad, Bareilly, Varanasi, Lucknow, Jhansi, Moradabad, Agra, Meerut and Kanpur.
The weather is likely to remain dry until Tuesday. Dense fog is expected at isolated places in eastern Uttar Pradesh tomorrow, the official added.
