Weather remains dry in north

Mercury hovered above normal levels at most places in north India as weather remained dry across the region.
Sultry conditions continued to prevail in Delhi as humidity remained on the higher side giving a tough time to people in the national capital.
The humidity levels in air oscillated between 42 and 80 per cent, the Met department said.
The maximum temperature settled two notches above the seasons's average at 35.9 degrees Celsius while the minimum touched 25 degrees Celsius, a notch above normal.
Weather was largely clear in Uttarkhand facilitating chopper trips to the famous Himalayan shrine in Kedarnath.
Maximum temperatures continued to hover above normal level at various places in Punjab and Haryana.
The Union Territory of Chandigarh recorded a maximum temperature of 34.2 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal, the MeT department said.

Hisar in Haryana was the hottest place in the region as it's maximum settled at 37.5 degrees Celsius. Ambala recorded 33.8 degrees Celsius, while sultry conditions prevailed in Bhiwani, as the maximum hit 36.6 degrees Celsius.
In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a high of 34 degrees Celsius, while Ludhiana and Patiala recorded respective maximums of 33.5 and 34.4 degrees Celsius.
Weather was mainly dry in Rajasthan in the past 24 hours, a Met official said.
