In it's 8th edition this year, the Bookaroo Children's Literature Festival, a festival wholly dedicated to children across all ages, will take place over the weekend on November 28-29 at two venues- Shankar's Centre for Children and British School.
The festival this year will focus on children's literature from various regions of India with a special focus on Bangla literature including a chance to be introduced to the film maestro, Satyajit Ray.
The story-telling sessions will allow children to explore their creativity by writing stories through Patua art form, experimenting to write nonsense verses and poetry recitation among a host of other innovative sessions.
The art-craft section has sessions teaching kids to make spy-glasses, doodle art, working with clay to name a few things that young people like to do.
A total of 60 speakers from 10 countries including Norway, Nepal, New Zealand, Sweden, Australia, Singapore, France, Malaysia, UK and India will be participating in the festival.
