: Wendt India of Murugappa group has seen a rise of 73.5 per cent in its profit after tax (PAT) for the second quarter ending September 30.
The PAT increased to Rs 4.60 crore from Rs 2.65 crore registered in the corresponding period last year. The rise was attributed to higher volumes, operational efficiencies and product mix, a press release said here Tuesday.
For the half-year period ending September 30, the PAT rose by 102 per cent from Rs 4.93 crore to Rs 9.97 crore made last year, the release said.
The income during July-September grew to Rs 42.42 crore from Rs 37.49 crore made during the same period last year, it said.
For the six-month period ending September 30, the income grew to Rs 85.10 crore from Rs 73.54 crore last year, the release said.
Wendt India is a manufacturer of super abrasives, grinding, electroplated and CBN wheels, diamond cup and brazed wheels, resin and metal bond.
