Burman, who preceded Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee who is scheduled to visit the sub-division on January seven, visited Manikpara, Amlacholi - having 800 species' of plants - and the Badurkhola Eco-tourism centre.
"Hailing from north Bengal, a place known for its forests, I can share the feelings of those having made the tree plantation drive successful," the minister said.
He said in sync with the government's policy to save the greens and help those sustaining on forest land, Banerjee will interact with the people here.
