West Bengal Governor condoles director's death

West Bengal Governor K N Tripathi tonight condoled the death of Bengali film maker Bappaditya Bandyopadhyay who died at a city hospital earier in the evening.
Describing Bandyopadhyay a "promising director", Tripathi expressed his heartfelt condolences at the sudden premature death.
"Through Kantatar, Houseful he tied to introduce films of different taste. The Governor conveys his grief to the bereaved family."
Bandyopadhyay died of multiorgan failure at a private city super speciality hospital at 8:40 pm today at the age of 45.
A pall of gloom descended over the Tollygunje industry as members of the industry went to the hospital off E M Bypass and broke down on seeing his body.
