"We need support from the industry captains. We succeeded in modernising the state infrastructure in the last five years. It is now the turn of the industry to make investments," West Bengal Urban Development Minister Firhad Hakim said.
"For industrial investment, investment in infrastructure is needed. For this, the industry can invest in the new five townships and the analytics city which were being planned," Hakim said at the AGM of Indian Chamber of Commerce.
Housing, Environment and Fire Services Minister Sovan Chatterjee said that by vesting three departments in him by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee a message was sent that a single window system had been created for clearing projects fast and without any delays.
He also sought suggestions from the members of the chamber on how to improve the city's infrastructure even better.
