The West Bengal unit of BJP today accused the state government of renaming Central projects and trying to reap political dividends out of it.
"If they want to take credit why don't they bring in their own projects? The state is not just changing names, they are also diverting funds, and this in turn is depriving people from benefits given by the Central government," state BJP president Dilip Ghosh alleged.
He said the BJP is emerging as an alternative to the ruling Trinamool Congress in West Bengal, as the Congress and the CPI(M) have failed to put up resistance against the "misrule" of TMC.
Ghosh claimed that TMC, headed by chief minister Mamata Banerjee, has lost control over the administration, unions and its local leaders.
"There are violent clashes in various educational institutions in the state. TMC workers are now fighting each other over money, soon they will fight for election tickets," he added.
