In a bid to highlight the alleged killing of their cadres in Kerala, the RSS Bengal Unit has decided to launch a massive demonstration all over West Bengal against CPI-M atrocities in Kerala.
An Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS)-affiliated civil rights organisation Manavadhikar Manch (Platform for Human Rights) had taken out a protest-march on Saturday against the alleged murders of RSS workers in Kerala by the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) cadres.
In a show of strength, thousands of RSS and BJP workers took part in a rally "Protest Against Genocide and Red Terror in Kerala' rally from College Square in north Kolkata to Esplanade in central Kokata on Saturday.
"This rally was just a beginning. We will be doing such rallies in every nook and corner of Bengal to highlight about the reign terror of the CPI(M) and Left in Kerala. How the CPI(M) government is trying to subvert human rights in the state," a senior RSS functionary said today.
"We wanted to take the message to the people of Bengal and show them the real face of Leftist. Bengal has been a Left bastion till a few years back, so we had chosen Bengal to register our protest," another RSS leader said.
RSS is also distributing pamphlets christened ""Against CPM Murder Politics" to its party workers for circulating it to general public in various parts of the state. The Pamphlet has mentioned Kannur as the killing field of Kerala.
Kerala has been witnessing a series of political clashes between cadres of BJP-RSS and ruling CPI(M), especially in the northern Kannur district, for a long time.
Both parties have blamed each other for the cycle of violence, which has claimed several lives on both sides.
