The policy will be announced during the 'Bengal Global Business Summit 2016' to be held in Kolkata from January 7 to 9, Amitava Ghosh, Deputy General Manager (Reservation & IT), West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation (WBTDC), told reporters during a road show organised by WBTDC here.
To attract more travellers and position West Bengal as a top destination for holiday-makers, the government has increased budget allocation for tourism to Rs 257 crore in the current financial year, Ghosh said.
This budget was just Rs 11.57 crore in 2010-11, he said.
