West Indies reached the final of the ICC World Twenty20 after they notched up a comfortable seven- wicket victory over hosts India in the second semifinal at the Wankhede Stadium here today.
Sent into bat, India scored 192 for two in the stipulated 20 overs, but saw West Indies chase down the target and finish at 196/3 with two balls to spare.
Lendl Simmons was Man of the Match for his unbeaten knock of 82.
