'Westworld', 'This is Us' bag nods at Golden Globe nominations

"Westworld", "This Is Us" and "The Crown", this season's big TV hits, have won nods at the 74th Golden Globe Awards, which were announced today.
"Westworld", about a theme park populated by lifelike robots, sci-fi drama "Stranger Things", "This is Us" and historical biography "The Crown" and "Game of Thrones" will compete in the best TV series, drama category at the award ceremony on January 8.
"Atlanta", fresh off its Critics Choice Award win, has made it to the Globe nominations in the best TV series, musical or comedy where it will compete with "Veep", "Transparent", "Black-ish" and "Mozart in the Jungle".
Actress Evan Rachel Wood, who has won acclaim for her portrayal of robot Dolores in Jonathan Nolan's hit series, will compete with "Outlander" star Catriona Balfe, "The Crown" actress Claire Foy, Keri Russell of "The Americans," and Winona Ryder of "Stranger Things" in the best actress in TV drama category.
Critics favourite Rami Malek (Mr. Robot) is one of the top-runners in the best actor TV drama category which also includes Bob Odenkirk ('Better Call Saul'), Matthew Rhys ('The Americans'), Liev Schreiber ('Ray Donovan'), Billy Bob Thornton in "Goliath".
Sarah Jessica Parker's TV return "Divorce" has earned her a nomination in the best actress in TV series musical or comedy category. SJP will be fight it out with Rachel Bloom ('Crazy Ex-Girlfriend') , Julia Louis-Dreyfus ('Veep'), Issa Rae ('Insecure'), Gina Rodriguez ('Jane the Virgin') and Tracee Ellis Ross from "Black-ish".
In the best actor TV series musical or comedy Gael Garcia Bernal (Mozart in the Jungle), Anthony Anderson (Black-ish), Donald Glover (Atlanta), Nick Nolte (Graves) and Jeffrey Tambor from "Transparent" will compete.

Veteran actor Bryan Cranston is nominated in the best actor in a series, limited series, or motion picture made for TV alongside Tom Hiddleston of "The Night Manager", Riz Ahmed from "The Night Of", John Turturro (The Night Of) and Courtney B Vance from "The People vs O J Simpson".
"The Night Manager", "The Night Of" and "O J Simpson" are also nominated in best TV limited series or motion picture made for TV along side "American Crime" and "The Dresser".
The eleven TV categories at Globe also feature popular stars like Hugh Laurie, John Travolta and Christian Slater.
"GOT" star Lena Headey, "This Is Us" stars Mandy Moore and Chrissy Metz, Olivia Colman from "The Night Manager" and Thandie Newton of "Westworld" are competing in the supporting actress category.
Best performance by an actress in a leading role in a series, limited series or motion picture made for television has Felicity Huffman - American Crime, Riley Keough - The Girlfriend Experience, Sarah Paulson - The People vs. O.J. Simpson, Charlotte Rampling - London Spy and Kerry Washington - Confirmation.
