Prices of wheat and bajra eased up to Rs 10 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today on reduced offtake by consuming industries against adequate supplies.
However, other grains, including rice basmati, moved in a tight range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said apart from subdued demand, adequate supplies following increased arrivals from producing regions kept pressure on wheat prices.
In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) eased to Rs 1,490-1,500 against last close of Rs 1,495-1,500 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and traded lower at Rs 1,500-1,505 from Rs 1,505-1,510 per 90 kg.
