Traders said reduced offtake by flour mills and stockists against higher supplies from producing belts mainly kept pressure on wheat and other grains prices.
In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) declined by Rs 10 to Rs 1,600-1,605 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and eased to Rs 1,610-1,620 against last close of Rs 1,615-1,620 per 90 kg.
Atta flour mills, maida and sooji also weakened to Rs 850-860,Rs 905-915 and Rs 1040-1060 from previous levels of Rs 855-865, Rs 915-925 and Rs 1,090-1,100 per 50 kg respectively on easing demand.
In the rice section, basmati Pusa-1121 and common variety slipped to Rs 6,000-8,000 and Rs 7,700-8,100 against last close of Rs 6,500-8,200 and Rs 7,700-8,200 per quintal, respectively.
