Wheat declines on increased supply; rice basmati up

Wheat prices declined by Rs 5 per quintal on the wholesale grains market today on increased supplies against reduced offtake by flour mills, traders said.
However, rice basmati on the back of fresh buying support,ended higher.
In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) fell by Rs 5 to Rs 1,530-1,535 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and traded lower by Rs 10 to Rs 1,535-1,540 per 90 kg.
Atta flour mills, maida and sooji also declined by Rs 10 each to Rs 830-840, Rs 830-850 and Rs 920-940 per 50 kg respectively in line with wheat trend.
In the rice section, rice basmati Pusa-1121 variety moved up by Rs 100 to Rs 7,700-9,400 per quintal.

Wheat, MP (deshi) 2,160-2,360, Wheat dara (for mills) 1,530-1,535, Chakki atta (delivery) 1,535-1,540 Atta Rajdhani (10 kg) 220, Shakti bhog (10 kg) 220, Roller flour mill 830-840 (50 kg), Maida 830-850 (50 kg) and Sooji 920-940 (50kg).
Basmati rice (Lal Quila) 10,400, Shri Lal Mahal 10,000, Super Basmati Rice, 9,500, Basmati common new 8,900-9,300, Rice Pusa-(1121) new 7,700-9,400, Permal raw 2,175-2,225, Permal wand 2,225-2,325, Sela 2,750-2,850 and Rice IR-8- 1,800-1,850, Bajra 1,290-1,295, Jowar yellow 1,450-1,475, white 2,325-2,525, Maize 1,320-1,330, Barley 1,330-1,340.
