Bajra and maize also eased on sluggish demand from consuming industries.
Traders said besides adequate stocks position in the market, decline in offtake by flour mills mainly kept pressure on wheat prices.
In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) fell by Rs 40 to Rs 1,940-1,950, while wheat MP (desi) slipped to Rs 2,650-2,950 from previous level of Rs 2,650-3,000 per quintal, respectively. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and traded lower at Rs 1,985-2,000 from previous level of Rs 2,000-2,010 per 90 kg.
Bajra and maize slipped to Rs 1,425-1,440 and Rs 1,550-1,570 from previous level of Rs 1,440-1,445 and Rs 1,590-1,600 per quintal, respectively.
