In restricted activity, wheat prices were down Rs 5 per quintal at the wholesale market today due to adequate stocks following increased supplies from producing regions.
However, other grains moved in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said sufficient stocks following higher supplies from producing belts against reduced offtake by flour mills mainly led to the decline wheat prices.
In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills)declined by Rs 5 to Rs 1,575-1,580 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and enquired lower by the same margin to Rs 1,580-1,585 per 90 kg.
