Wheat prices eased by Rs 10 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today on reduced offtake by flour mills.
However, bajra and jowar rose on stockists buying.
Traders said reduced offtake by flour mills mainly weighed on wheat dara prices.
However, stockists buying led to rise in bajra and jowar prices, they said.
In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) declined by Rs 10 to Rs 1,640-1,645 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and traded lower by the same margin to Rs 1,645-1,650 per 90 kg. Atta flour mills, maida and sooji were also traded lower at Rs 880-890, Rs 960-980 and Rs 1,020-1,040 from previous levels of Rs 885-895, Rs 975-985 and Rs 1,030-1,050 per quintal, respectively.
On the other hand, bajra, jowar yellow and white ended higher at Rs 1,340-1,350, Rs 1,500-1,530 and Rs 2,350-2,560 against last close of Rs 1,295-1,300, Rs 1,470-1,500 and Rs 2,275-2,300 per quintal, respectively on stockists buying.
