Wheat edges up on scattered buying by flour mills

Wheat prices edged up by Rs 5 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale grains market today on scattered enquiries from flour mills.
However, other grains moved in a tight range in restricted deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said some enquiries from flour mills helped wheat prices to trade marginally higher.
In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) inched up by Rs 5 to Rs 1,630-1,635 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery traded higher by the same margin to Rs 1635-1640 per 90 kg.

Wheat MP (deshi) 2,070-2,270, Wheat dara (for mills) 1,630-1,635, Chakki atta (delivery) 1,635-1,640 Atta Rajdhani (10 kg) 220, Shakti bhog (10 kg) 220, Roller flour mill 870-890 (50 kg), Maida 950-970 (50 kg) and Sooji 990-1,020 (50kg).
Basmati rice (Lal Quila) 10,400, Shri Lal Mahal 10,000, Super Basmati Rice, 9,500, Basmati common new 8,400-8,900, Rice Pusa-(1121) new 7,600-9,200, Permal raw 2,100-2,200, Permal wand 2,250-2,275, Sela 2,800-2,825 and Rice IR-8- 1,850-1,900, Bajra 1,245-1,250, Jowar yellow 1,470-1,500, white 2,275-2,300, Maize 1,400-1,405, Barley 1,395-1,400, Rajasthan 1,080-1,090.
