At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, wheat for delivery in March month fell by Rs 17, or 1.04 per cent to Rs 1,620 per quintal with an open interest of 3,350 lots.
On similar lines, the wheat for delivery in April contracts shed Rs 6, or 0.37 per cent to Rs 1634 per quintal in 3,330 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by traders amid sufficient stocks position on increased arrivals from producing regions in the physical market against low demand from flour mills, mainly kept wheat prices down at futures trade.
