At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, wheat for delivery in September month fell by Rs 11, or 0.63 per cent to Rs 1,737 per quintal with an open interest of 5,800 lots.
On similar lines, the wheat for delivery in August contracts traded lower by Rs 9, or 0.52 per cent to Rs 1,713 per quintal in 27,210 lots.
Analysts attributed the fall in wheat futures to sufficient stocks position in the physical market against reduced offtake by flour mills.
