At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, wheat for delivery in February declined by Rs 34, or 1.86 per cent to Rs 1,795 per quintal with an open interest of 5,050 lots.
On similar lines, the wheat for delivery in March contracts traded lower by Rs 25, or 1.44 per cent to Rs 1,714 per quintal in 1,750 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by traders amid sufficient stocks position in the physical market against tepid demand from flour mills, mainly put pressure on wheat prices at futures trade.
