At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, wheat for delivery in September month went up by Rs 11, or 0.69 per cent to Rs 1,611 per quintal with an open interest of 680 lots.
Likewise, wheat for delivery in October month edged up by Rs 4, or 0.25 per cent to Rs 1,631 per quintal in 13,830 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise in wheat futures to speculative buying.
