Wheat inches up on flour mills buying

In a restricted activity, wheat prices traded marginally up by Rs 5 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today due to increased offtake by flour mills.
However, other grains including rice basmati traded in a narrow range on little doing and settled around previous levels.
Traders said increased offtake by flour mills mainly led to rise in wheat prices.
Meanwhile, Wheat output in India, the world's second biggest grower, is expected to rise by 8.42 per cent to 93.82 million tonnes in the 2015-16 crop year despite facing drought and warmer winter.
In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills)edged up by Rs 5 to Rs 1,700-1,705 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery followed suit traded higher by Rs 1,710-1,715 from Rs 1,700-1,710 per 90 kg.
