At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, wheat for delivery in March month rose by Rs 20, or 1.21 per cent, to Rs 1,667 per quintal with an open interest of 3110 lots.
On similar lines, the wheat for delivery in far-month April edged up by Rs 4, or 0.24 per cent to Rs 1,655 per quintal in 3,780 lots.
Marktmen attributed the rise in wheat futures to speculative positions created by traders.
