Wheat prices up on increased offtake by flour mills

Wheat prices rose by Rs 15 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today due to increased offtake by flour mills.
However, other grains including rice basmati traded in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said increased offtake by flour mills mainly kept wheat the prices higher.
In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) advanced by Rs 15 to Rs 1,655-1,660 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and enquired higher by a similar margin to Rs 1,660-1,665 per 90 kg.
