Wheat remains weak on adequate supply

Wheat prices fell further by Rs 20 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today on adequate stocks position on arrivals of new crop from producing belts amid reduced offtake by flour mills.
Traders said adequate stocks position with the arrival of new crop in the mandies amid reduced offtake by flour mills mainly kept pressure on wheat prices.
In the capital, wheat dara (for mills) fell by Rs 20 to Rs 1,570-1,575 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and enquired lower by a similar margin to Rs 1,585-1,590 per 90 kg.
In line with wheat, atta flour mills, by Rs 5 tO Rs 835-845 per 50 kg. Maida and sooji too eased by Rs 10 each to Rs 880-890 and Rs 980-1,000 per 50 kg.

Basmati rice (Lal Quila) 10,400, Shri Lal Mahal 10,000, Super Basmati Rice 9,500, Basmati common new 6,100-6,300, Rice Pusa (1121) 4,950-6,200, Permal raw 1,700-1,775, Permal wand 1,850-1,900, Sela 2,350-2,400 and Rice IR-8 1,575-1,600, Bajra 1,200-1,205, Jowar yellow 1,490-1,500, white 2,550-2,650, Maize 1,550-1,555, Barley 1,500-1,505.
