However, rice basmati firmed up on uptick in demand.
Traders said ample stocks on increased supplies from producing regions against reduced offtake by flour mills mainly pulled down wheat prices.
However, pick up in demand against restricted supplies helped rice basmati prices to trade higher, they said.
In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) declined by another Rs 25 to Rs 1,780-1,785 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and traded lower by Rs 20 to Rs 1,790-1,795 per 90 kg.
