Wheat remains weak on increased supply, reduced offtake
Press Trust of India New Delhi Wheat prices fell by Rs 30 per quintal in the wholesale grains market today due to increased supplies from producing belts against reduced offtake by flour mills.
Traders said increased supplies in the mandies against reduced offtake by flour mills mainly kept pressure on wheat prices.
In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) fell further by Rs 30 to Rs 1,600-1,605 per quintal. Atta chakki followed suit and delivery traded lower by the same margin to Rs 1,605-1,610 per 90 kg.
