Traders said increased buying by flour mills and stockists amid reports of a likely fall in output this year due to untimely rains in growing areas mainly pushed up wheat prices.
In the national capital,wheat dara (for mills) and (deshi) rose by Rs 30 each to Rs 1,660-1,665 and Rs 2,100-2,300 per quintal respectively. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and traded higher at Rs 1,665-1,670 from previous level of Rs 1,635-1,640 per 90 kg.
