Wheat softens on adequate stocks

In restricted activity, wheat prices eased by Rs 5 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today due to reduced offtake by flour mills against sufficient stocks on higher supplies from producing belts.
Traders said reduced offtake by flour mills against adequate stocks on increased supplies from growing regions mainly helped wheat prices to trade lower.
In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills)shed Rs 5 at Rs 1,700-1,705 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and traded lower by a similar margin to Rs 1,705-1,715 per 90 kg.
