Wheat up on buying by flour mills

Wheat prices rose by Rs 5 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today due to increased offtake by flour mills against fall in supplies from producing belts.
Traders said increased offtake by flour mills and a decline in supplies from producing regions mainly led to the rise in wheat prices.
In the national capital, wheat dara (for mills) inched up by Rs 5 to Rs 1,545-1,550 per quintal. Atta chakki delivery followed suit and traded higher by the same margin to Rs 1,550-1,555 per 90 kg.
Maida was also seen in demand and ended higher at Rs 915-930 from previous level of Rs 890-910 per 50 kg.
